World Vision Mali is recruiting the following position:


NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (01)


OPEN TO: All Interested Candidates
Reports to: IT Manager
Location: Bamako


Purpose of the position
:

To perform a variety of maintenance tasks, evaluation, installation, configuration, training to ensure that network and business applications performance meet World Vision Partnership business requirements Major responsibilities:

Administer and maintain all internal networks and servers including Lotus Domino messaging servers, Lotus Domino Application servers, Database servers, etc
Plan, implement and support data and voice network infrastructure installations/improvements including an appropriate disaster recovery plan in NO and Project Offices Evaluate and / or recommend the purchase of computers, network hardware, peripherals and software;

Maintain existing anti-Spam, anti-spyware and anti-virus systems and set up of new policies to minimize risk to WV business.

Establish network and performance management processes to monitor Local Area Networks and WAN links in all projects

Interact regularly with the IT Assistant to ensure a good customer experience of network services

Work with Internet service providers and GAC to ensure that World Vision Mali Internet and WAN connections are operating according to agreed service levels.

Design and conduct various training and instruction for system users to maximize the use of networks and computer systems.

Plan for and maintain a call tracking system that enables proper tracking of and rapid response to user calls

Maintain confidentiality regarding the information processed, stored or accessed by the network.

Document network problems and resolutions for future reference

 

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

•Educational level required: A university degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information technology

•Technical Training qualifications required: Qualified MSCE or CCNA or ITIL version 3 foundation

•Experience: 3 years working experience, 2 of which should have been in a network administration context

•Other: Experience in Lotus Domino server administration

 


Working Environment / Conditions:

• Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field

• Travel: 20% Domestic/international travel is required.

• On call: 15%
